Founded in 1603, Boston is one of the largest cities in New England and one of the oldest in the country. Boston is steeped in history and the best way to experience this is by visiting the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile red brick line that runs through the city, highlighting its many famous historical sites. In addition, Boston boasts many cultural activities, parks, marinas, professional sporting events, and festivals.
Kenmore square, located in downtown Boston at the intersection of Beacon and Commonwealth Avenues, is just down the street from the famous Citgo sign and Fenway Park. The area is rich in restaurants, clubs, music stores, shopping, and hotels. There is large Barnes & Noble in the building that houses the Citgo sign. Several colleges and universities in the area contribute to a large student population.
